Visio Sound Bars provides excellent audio but there are times they do not perform perfectly. There are several reasons why you would have to restart your Vizio sound bar. The most common are:
1. Connectivity issues can arise when using wireless connections such as Bluetooth or WiFi.
2. Flashing lights on the sound bar indicate that there is an issue with the settings you may previously have entered. This problem can only be solved by the resetting option.
The Resetting of your VISIO sound bar should be considered as the last option rather than the first, as carrying out a factory reset will wipe out all and any custom settings you have previously entered. All of the original factory settings will be in place after resetting.
We will however kick off with how to reset your sound bar to factory settings if that is your preference. Further on we will explore some alternative options.
Vizio Sound Bar Factory Reset Option 1:
- On the Sound Bar, press the Bluetooth and Volume Down buttons simultaneously, holding them down for five seconds.
- All 12 of the LED s on the Sound Bar will flash simultaneously, three times.
- All previous sound bar settings are now erased and reset to the factory defaults.
FACTORY RESET OPTION 2
- Switch off the sound bar.
- Switch off the power supply and unplug the power cable.
- Wait at least ten seconds then plug the power cable back in switch the power on and switch the sound bar on.
- All previous sound bar settings are now erased and reset to the factory defaults.
Recommended Options Before a Full Factory Reset
- Before exercising the reset option, switch off your soundbar for 10 seconds and then switch it back on. This often corrects simple issues.
- Press the “Input” and “Bluetooth” buttons simultaneously and hold them for 5 to 6 seconds. This should restart your Vizio Sound Bar.
- Or press the “Input” and “Volume Down” buttons simultaneously and hold them for 5 to 6 seconds. This should restart your Vizio Sound Bar.
- Or press and hold the “Input” and “Volume Up” buttons simultaneously and hold them for 5 to 6 seconds. This should restart your Vizio Sound Bar.
One of these last three reset options will work for any Vizio soundbar.
Other Possible Issues
No Audio sound From the Soundbar
If there is no audio sound from your soundbar, you should first press the volume up button on the Sound Bar and also try increasing the volume from the external source using the remote
You should also make sure the input on the soundbar is set to the correct source.
Buzzing Sound
If you notice a strange buzzing or humming sound from your Vizio sound bar, it is most probably interference from another device. You should then move any wireless device such as Laptops or cellular phones away from the soundbar to eliminate them as an issue.
