Bose makes a variety of very popular audio products, such as speakers, headphones, and soundbars. One of their most popular soundbars is the Bose Smart Soundbar 700.
Even though Bose products are well known to rarely have technical issues, it might sometimes be necessary to reset your Bose Smart Soundbar 700 (or 500 or 300), if you’re having audio or connection issues.

Resetting A Bose Soundbar 700:
Follow the simple 3-step process below to reset your Bose Soundbar 700.
Step 1
Your first step would be to disconnect your soundbar from the Bose Music App. Follow these steps:
- Open the Bose Music App.
- Select account settings in the top right corner.
- Click on manage speakers.
- Select your connected soundbar and delete it.
Step 2
- Turn your Bose Soundbar 700 on.
- Hold down the power and skip back buttons on the remote for 5 seconds.
- The soundbar will first pulse white and then fade to black.
- Your Bose Soundbar 700 will now be reset to its default factory settings.
Resetting A Bose Soundbar 500:
Follow the simple 3-step process below to reset your Bose Soundbar 500.
Step 1
Your first step would be to disconnect your soundbar from the Bose Music App. Follow these steps:
- Open the Bose Music App.
- Select account settings in the top right corner.
- Click on manage speakers.
- Select your connected soundbar and delete it.
Step 2
- Turn your Bose Soundbar 500 on.
- Hold down the power and skip forward buttons on the remote for 5 seconds.
- The soundbar will first pulse white and then fade to black.
- The soundbar will glow solid amber to show the reset was a success.
- Your Bose Soundbar 500 will now be reset to its default factory settings.
Resetting A Bose Soundbar 300:
Follow the simple 3-step process below to reset your Bose Soundbar 300.
Step 1
Your first step would be to disconnect your soundbar from the Bose Music App. Follow these steps:
- Open the Bose Music App.
- Select account settings in the top right corner.
- Click on manage speakers.
- Select your connected soundbar and delete it.
Step 2
- Turn your Bose Soundbar 300 on.
- Hold down the play and volume down buttons on the remote for 5 seconds.
- The soundbar will glow solid amber to show the reset was a success.
- Your Bose Soundbar 300 will now be reset to its default factory settings.
