Batch D – March 2011 models. I found some pictures of some new cars being sold but, I’m not sure of the case code on these. I put the pictures in but, I have no information as to the MB number of the casting. See the pictures below.

The Promotions – Standard (492 pieces) and Chase (108 pieces) versions of the ‘49 Merc produced for the 2011 DiecastSpace Super Convention and made their debut in Las Vegas in February. Remaining quantities are available online at 1stopdiecast.com and on the secondary market.

1:24 Scale – New larger scale releases include a ’65 Ford Mustang 2+2 289 in red or bronze and a ’71 Plymouth ‘Cuda 383 in yellow or white.

Basic 100 Line:

Reports are coming in that some new models are starting to show up in stores. Here is what some people are saying they found: Corvette ZR1; MBX Mover; Honda Insight; VW-Porsche 914-6; Power Lift; Mitsubishi Lancer Evo-X; and some new Caddy Ambulances.

“Lesney” Edition:

Code “M & N” include: a Cadillac Hearse; a Chevy Blazer; and Chevy Step-side.

‘Real Working Rigs’:

Code “M” include the four pictured below. Also coming soon are a Tucker Snow Cat and a Road Grader.

‘Skybusters’ planes:

A WWIIDive Bomber and a Skyfire plane are out now; a Stealth Launch Jet and a F-117 Night Hawk are reported to be released in this line.

Super Convoys:

The three latest from this line are a Ford C-900 cab and Hopper trailer, a Mega Ton Fire Truck and a MBX cab w/Drt Bulk Hauler.

M2 also wants to tell you about a new end cap display coming soon to select Walmart stores. It will feature a large amount of 1/24th and 1/18th scale cars which will be coming out soon.

The for-mentioned 1/18th scale Ground Pounders will be just a couple of those featured in this display. Watch for them at a store near you.

No New releases this time but, I do have some news for you about the upcoming years’ programs. Matchbox will have the Basic 100 line again along with the “Lesney” Edition (Superfast) line.

Other lines include: ‘Real Working Rigs’ and ‘Skybusters’ planes. The first scheduled releases for the 2011 should start arriving in December in ‘A’ codes so, watch for further news.

Hot Pursuit Release 4: These are Target Exclusives along with authorized dealers. You will see them in Target stores by August. This release includes:

The Greenlight 1:18 scale line has a couple of new releases coming this month to dealers and TRU stores. A VW bug and a VW Micro Bus come to you through the Black Bandits name; And a 1965 Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe CSX2601, only through dealers.

There seems to be a few other changes happening at Greenlight these past few months. They may be dropping some of their lines and adding some new ones. One noticeable change is the addition of a new line called “GL Muscle".” This looks to be replacing the Muscle Car Garage line with Release 1 coming out soon.

Forever 64 – Release 6: ’67 Pontiac Firebird; a ’70 Dodge Challenger R/T; a ’67 Chevy Camaro SS; a ’71 Chevy Camaro ‘Beat the Heat’; a ’70 Plymouth Superbird; a ’65 Mustang Fastback custom; a ’65 Mustang Fastback; a ’10 Dodge Viper ACR; a ’49 Buick Custom in red or blue; a ’37 Cord 812 SC convertible; a ’51 Hudson Hornet; a ’75 Chevy Corvette.

Johnny Lightning has also announced a Hobby line coming in 2010 called “JL 2.0”. These cars are believed to be for Hobby exclusive distribution. A 1/64th scale car with metal bodies and chassis, rubber wheels, and exclusive color and design.

JL 2.0 – Release ‘A’: ’08 Dodge Challenger – Black w/flames; a ’80 Chevy Monza – spoiler; a ’80 Chevy Impala – project car; and a ’65 Pontiac GTO – racing legends “Arnie Bestwick”.

1:24 Scale Muscle Cars: The 1964 Impala SS was a car that brought luxury and affordability together. Now Johnny Lightning is reproducing that car with all the attention to detail and lavish styling of the original. From the windshield wipers down to the gearshift—but no seatbelts, which were optional at the time—this 1:24 casting perfectly replicates the most minute aspects of the Impala. The second is a replica of Arnie Bestwick’s Pontiac GTO stockcar. You can also get this replica in the JL 2.0 line this month.

Maisto is one company that is very hard to find up to date release information on. In this article I will attempt to inform you of all the 1/64th scale car lines they have to offer and show some photos of some of their line. The main two lines are: All-Stars and Pro-Rods, with sub categories to each.

Series 9.2 includes: ’36 & ’37 Ford coupe; ’32 Ford Roadster; ’36 Chevy Pickup; ’29 Ford Model A; ’50 Merc.

SUB-Series include: Tour Buses – Red and Blue colors. Fresh Pair – Two cars released together in a single pack. Transporters – 4 color choices. Elite Transporters – A Flatbed style truck w/car; a Tow Truck w/car; and Pickup w/trailer and car. Limousine – Stretched cars and SUV’s. Rescue Force – Police and other emergency vehicles.

Cars include: ’65 Mustang; ’62 Chevy Biscayne Wagon; ’62 Chevy Bel-Air; ’55 Nomad; ’67 Mustang GT; ’69 Corvette; ’70 Nova. M2 is hitting it hard! Many new lines, chase pieces, entry level cars, and a new low mintage line. Watch for this company to grow and grow. This month releases are a little slower then last month. I will keep up all their lines and change them as they come out with new cars.

Release 8 includes: ’66 Dodge Charger in Black; ’71 Charger in Blue; ’70 Ford Mustang in orange; ’69 Charger Daytona in teal; ’67 Nova in white; and a Super Bee in lgt. gold; Chase Black/Gold ’70 Super Bee; Chrome Chase ’70 Mustang.

Release 8 includes: ’57 Chevy Bel Air in Black or Red; ’55 DeSoto Fireflite in Black or Purple/White; ’49 Mercury in Blue or White. Black/Gold Chase ’57 Bel Air; Chrome Chase ’55 DeSoto.

Release 2 includes: ’57 Ford Fairlane 500; ’70 Olds Cutlass 442; ’70 Dodge Super Bee; and ’70 Super Bee Gold Chase.

Release 2 includes: ’58 Ply. Belvedere in teal; ’70 Chevelle SS in yellow; ’57 Chevy Bel Air in orange; ’70 Ford Mustang in black; ’70 Super Bee in orange; ’57 Ford Fairlane 500 in Red/White. Chase is ’70 Mustang in white.

Drivers release 3 includes: ’70 Torino Cobra in Blue or Black; ‘71 Ply. Hemi ‘Cuda in White or Plum; ’67 Nova in Green or Yellow; and the Chase is a unknown at this time.

New series introduced to replace the missing Muscle Machines. Release 1 includes: ’71 Hemi ‘Cuda; ’56 F-100 pick-up; ’69 Dodge Daytona; ’57 Chevy Nomad; ’58 Ply. Belvedere; ’69 BOSS 429. Chase pcs. include a Maroon/Gold Daytona and a Chrome F-100 pick-up.

Newest release for their 1/24th scale models include: a ’57 Chevy Hardtop in Turquoise or Red.

New releases for various companies, clubs, and events. The latest is Autofest Exclusive 1 of 492 pcs. the 1969 Daytona Charger Pace car, white/ blue. Chase white/Gold is 1 of 72pcs.

1st. SHOTS One Stop Diecast online exclusive line. Release 2 is a ’69 Charger Daytona. These cars are limited to 972pcs. and are signed by one of the line workers at the factory in their native script on the roof before packaging. The cars are bare cast with black plastic parts to resemble a pre-production test shot piece.
