Chris,

What you have found is known as an "Error Card." Occasionally, cars make it onto the card with missing or loose parts, mis-aligned tampos or in a mis-matched card (as you have found). Errors don't particularly make the car any more valuable - however, there are collectors out there that collect errors and variations that might be interested in adding that piece to their collection. In most cases, those collectors would be willing to pay a dollar or two more than what you paid for it. Unfortunately, its not something that would bring you a high-dollar value.

You might want to throw it up on eBay or on The Toy Peddler to see what you can get.

Hope that helps!
Best,
Jeff

Wow, I never thought about the lack of techno-savvy amongst the diecast collecting crowd. I guess since I'm a tech guy it just comes naturally to use on-line resources.

I'm actually the exact opposite of what you mention as "most" collectors...I don't know about collecting WITHOUT the internet. I've never thought about offline materials. It's hard enough finding good on-line diecast resources, let alone offline.

Good job on the interview. If nothing else, there's now a face with a name! :)
