Help identify this DCX Muscle Machine

Collector Dale Brussee from Ohio sent in this picture of a custom Muscle Machine with the DCX logo on the roof and is looking to find out more about it. If any of the faithful diecastAUDIO readers and listeners happen to know any background information on this on this car, we’d love to know. Knowing when and where this piece became available, as well has how many were produced would be helpful. Dale is looking to obtain one, so please leave a comment if you have one available and I’ll make the connection. Click the image for the full size version.

  1. How did he get a pic of this car???

  2. Hi, I used to be the lead designer at Muscle Machines from ‘04-’07. Muscle Machines had nothing to do with these cars. They where done by an outside company. I actually have a black ‘37 MM coupe with the DCX logo on top in the same packaging. I brought it into work and no one knew anything about it. I received the car when I signed up to a DCX subscription. I believe Greg at http://www.diehard-diecast.com might know a little more.

Also check out the new die cast company I am with now, M2 Machines. http://www.joesdiecastshack.com/m2A.htm

    Thanks,
    Sean

  3. Sean – Thanks for adding to the discussion! – I’ll definitely check out M2 Machines. – Cheers, Jeff

  4. This car was custom tampoed by a vendor for Die Hard Die Cast. Die Cast X Magazine had a deal with a company(not Muscle Machines) to supply a car for new subscribers that deal fell through. I was aksed to help out with a quick solution. We came up with placing the DCX logo on a current wave of Muscle Machines. At the time it was DCX not Die Cast X magazine. If I remember right I think we made about five hundred pieces from 6 different castings. These were not tampoed by Muscle Machines. This is the first I’ve heard of these since making them.
BTW that Sean is a pretty knowlegable guy huh! LOL
