Jeff,
You should research the sites/owners that you advertise.
Do you know that this site is owned by a young man around the age of 17 who has been kicked off Ebay under at least 4 names for non-payment? A young man who has been banned from many websites for shady deals and non payment of sales? A young who whenever is caught in a shady deal blames his mother–loss of job, broken down car, stolen car, various illnesses (both Mom and himslef) and a host of other excuses?
I have lots of emails and saved message board threads from this young man who has sneaked in to sites under many user names to mask his true identity.
Folks, if you like this new venture, that’s great. But be careful–the young man behind the site has a very poor reputation, and was given countless ’second chances’ only to make those who tried to help him look like fools.
Joe
Joe,
Thanks for the head’s up and the insight on CollectorWeb’s ownership. I haven’t had any previous interactions with the site owner. Readers should definitely take your comments into consideration when evaluating the service!
Thanks,
Jeff
I am ussually never online and dont have an email however I can admit Dallas has told me more than once about his shady dealings in the past few years and also told me that he got in way over his head. Though I may not know all that dallas has done I do know that I have known dallas for around 6 years and have purchased enough hot wheels from him to know if he is a good guy or is intenially a scammer as Joe Falco says he is here and a couple other sites. I personally know other collectors localy who also deal with dallas. Dallas has avised me that him and ebay just dont work well. He has had 1 account on The Toy Peddler he told me where he had done around 200 transactions with only 1 problem which later got resolved. You personally need to give a kid a break and not trash him so much to where he cant get his reputation back to where it can be. I know this kid has screwed up more than once but also know what kid has not done more than 1 stupid mistake around this age, I mean come on, I smoked pot in the 60’s which was not wise, so a kid wins more auctions than he can pay for is it wrong yes but is it as bad as it could be no. Also Dallas has paid most of the sellers back from more than 2 accounts he has had. Dallas is also in a local Hot Wheels club which im not involved with however sells a lot as I have taken him, come on if he were a guy looking for money would he be selling over 200 cars a month locally? I know this kid still has some ways to go but is on the right track and you need to keep up to date if you want to trash someones reputation when they are working very hard to get it back. I have avised Dallas about you joe however he already knew about you. He also says he wish he could send you a raok for keeping others safe however you refused it a couple years back. Dallas is a good kid and I would only vouch for him if I knew him well. From what I know Dallas has had around 2 Toy Peddler accounts and around 5 or 6 eBay accounts, Dallas has learned that ebay is not a good fit and is no longer there from what im aware of. Dallas is not the first one who gets in trouble with ebay and at such a young age he probably does not have as much control on good deals when he sees them. I also know Dallas has several disabilites which really can impact the way he thinks sometimes. However all in all Dallas is a good kid and may be learning slowly but is learning! So joe keep your mouth shut when you dont know all the facts and even the person you are talking about. I am not here to start trouble however I have seen enough of joes shit to get me frustrated, I was a member of Toy Car Collectors.com and my buddy owned it and was later given to Dallas even though Dallas was a moderator and the designer he was not the owner or administrator. I saw your shit on Toy Car Collectors which made me think about going to your site and saying the shit you have done to not just Dallas however other collectors as well. You may be trying to do good but you are actually doing harm to not just Dallas but other collectors as well. So as far as im concerned I need to get with dallas and find out a site to track peoples forum posts to see what you say about dallas and I will let his mother know because I know you and her had a chat and you were to longer be abusing Dallas rights. I will go for bat for Dallas so dont mess with me. I am done with your shit joe and have seen enough and heard enough that makes me just want to snap. Jeff, you run a great site and enjoy coming to Diecast Audio when I make it to an internet connection. I appologize I had to reply to Joes comment im just really done with him. Joe you better hope I dont meet you at the convention or we will be having over an hour discussion. Also, Dallas is doing what he can to make it to the convention in next october to try and meet everyone he has hurt to make a public apology. He also told me he is on DiecastSpace.com as collectors web so if I were you monitor recent behavior and not behavior of a young teenager.
Jeff you have a great day or night and Joe I hope you can learn to remember your childhood, im sure you have made more than one screw up so like I said give it a rest, everyone is aware of the picture of Dallas and are causios when buying over the internet. Give it up dude.
Hi Renne, thanks for calling me today and letting me know what joe has been saying once again. It is greatly appreciated. I can admit ive screwed up but can also admit im not the problem. I have many succesful trades, raoks etc that no one ever talks about because they dont want my reputation to change or they are afraid to get trashed by the evil falco. Joe has nothing better to do than to sit on every diecast site and give people trouble, he loves to fight and he is a guy to stay away from. I would not even waste your time talking to him if you see him at the convention. Hopefully time will allow to show collectors who I really am.
Jeff, great job with WordPress and great redesign! Joe, I am sorry that I have caused you so many problems to where you think it is ok to trash someone such as myself. Redline Roger got the same crap and hence why he is no longer a collector. You chase too many young collectors away this wont be an industry for collecting once the older generation of baby boomers die off.
You all take care and hope you had a great halloween!
Renne & Dallas –
Thanks so much for speaking your minds. It is my hope that we can all get along in the long run. There is room for all online for the world of die cast and the more content from different sources the better. Joe Falco has been (and is) and institution for the hobby, but there is room for all. We are all in it for the love of die cast and we need to support each other.
Our sites can only strengthen the love we have for the hobby. This is not HIGHLANDER. There can not be only one!
Peace, Love and Collecting,
Jeff
