Back towards the beginning of the month Rhode Island Hot Wheels Club President, Jim Lombari announced the beginning details of the 2008 Expo and Club Dinner. 2007’s Expo was a great success and 2008 is looking bigger and better than ever!

The first major change for 2008 is the length of the event. This time around the expo will run a full three days from August 22nd thru August 24th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island. Collectors will be able to enjoy room to room trading in style in one of RI’s finest 5 star hotels! In addition, there will be racing, a charity dinner and auction, guest speakers like Mike Zarnock, Bob Parker, George Soulakis (Sizzler Engineer), and Lee Pearlman (Liberty Promotions).

The expo will have plenty of limited run event cars as well including 500 Drag Buses from Liberty Promotions, the 2008 Club Car ‘67 GTO, a dinner car by Liberty Promotions, and a Hot Wheels Newsletter car by Mike Strauss! There will also be a ladies dinner car and many more surprises to come. All event cars will be limited to 500 or less, so be sure to make your plans early!
