Airland Reveals the Truth!

While this post from Airland’s Ironbox Newswire came out over a week ago, its definitely worth the mention just in case any of you haven’t stumbled across it yet! A lot of false rumors were floating around the HOTWHEELSCOLLECTORS.COM message boards during October and Air took a moment to speak the truth about many of them. Here’s what he had to say:

[1] Classics Series 4 will feature 15 castings and be sold only at Walmart ….
This rumor is True and False….. There will be 15 Castings in Series 4, but they will not be Walmart Exclusives.

[2] The Ultra Hots Series has been cancelled …
This rumor is False….. There are still a minimum of 11 more ready to go, and they will show up in Target.

[3] The Modern Classics Series will have 10 New Castings in it and be a Walmart Exclusive …
This rumor is True…. There are 15 in the 2008 Series, 10 new castings, And a Walmart Exclusive.

[4] The 56 Hi-Tail Hauler casting has been recreated and will first show up as an Ultra Hot …
This rumor appears to be True… and rumors persist that it will be orange with “Hot Wheels” on the doors.

[5] The Hotbird casting will finally get the respect it deserves when it is released as a Treasure Hunt in 2008 …
This rumor is True…. The Hot Wheels staff got together and made this happen, because so many collectors wanted it to happen.

MORE FROM The WIRE ….. The next Classics Meyers Manx will be spectraflame red ….. There is rumored to be a new Ford Torino casting in the works for the Modern Classics Series…. One of the castings being used in Classics Series 4 was a very collectible India casting…… The next 10 pack exclusive may be a Ford Galaxie in yellow and white and the design looks like a Vanbeat masterpiece once again….. Vanbeat is my favorite design creator by the way……….. Another rumor that needs to be squashed is that the Super Chromes will show up in Walgreens Stores….. its not gonna happen. The Holiday Hot Rods Series is being released in a better way this year………. The Rail Rodder and Spine Buster are two of the castings for sure…

Thanks again to Air for all the great effort in reporting the coolest diecast news we all crave!
