Toy firm Mattel has announced a worldwide recall of a reported 18 million toys amid concerns about paint. Less than two weeks ago, Mattel recalled 94,000 Chinese-made Fisher-Price toys after concerns about lead in the paint and the new recall affects Polly Pocket toys, Batman and Pixar Cars toys, as well as others.

The most notable items for diecast collectors to be aware of are the stand alone version of Sarge, the Sarge car sold in a package of two and any vehicles that have a serial number on the bottom ending “7EA”.

“Cardboard collectors” need not be concerned!
