This past weekend the Kustom City Designs newsletter subscribers where treated to a sneak peek of the upcoming 5th Issue Dave Chang EVO. Now that links to the pictures have been posted on several diecast forums it definitely needs to be added here as one of the cooler announcements in diecast this month!

This 5th issue EVO is the first of a brand new series being dubbed “The Over Chrome Series.” Each and every piece in this run will feature 100% real chrome plating with a splash of liquid-transparent paint. All cars are put through three crutial checkpoints to ensure that only the highest quality pieces make it into collector’s hands. This means that you can expect “chase piece” quality across the entire run!

Series 5 will include six different versions of the EVO which are divided up as follows:

- Over-Chrome Purple (1/984)
- Over-Chrome Lime (1/984)
- Over-Chrome Special K Pink (1/192)
- Over-Chrome Special K Blue (1/192)
- Over-Chrome Black Gold (1/48)
- Over-Chrome White Gold (1/48)

A few other changes have been made for this series in addition to the chroming process. Collectors will be impressed with the new nickel plated and ‘chromed’ display base with new transparent black diamond plating!
