“There are new castings and re-tools everywhere… Below is the Custom Galaxie First Edition.. I just heard a rumor that the “Licenced Custom” First Edition is a 53 Chevy Custom, we’ll see if this is true soon…. Heres the castings showing up now that are new and some castings still to show. 1964 Malibu, 1958 Impala, Bad Bagger Bike, 1952 Chevy Truck, 1956 Mercury, 1957 Buick Wagon, Custom 56 Ford Truck, Custom VW Beetle, A-OK, Neet Streeter, The 4 new Spoilers are 67 Charger, 70 Chevelle, 72 Duster and A Boss Hoss Convertible…. 1964 Corvette Stingray, 1964 Dodge Polara, 1964 Ford Falcon Spirit, 1967 GTO convertible, and a Purple Passion Woody. The 1957 Buick Wagon showed up in the Ultra Hots Series and rumor is the next release of this casting will be Black with Flames.”

If you missed the results of the latest round of RLC sELECTIONs Series voting that was revealed last week, the here’s a quick update. After a heated head-to-head battle between the Pontiac GTO and the Bye-Focal it appears that the voting ended in a tie! The final decision on the winning casting was then left up to the HWC.COM staff. The end result was a pleasant surprise with BOTH castings being selected for simultaneous release during the next RLC sELECTIONs Series sale.

Round four of the voting started last Thursday, and you’ll notice that you’ll be able to select a color for both the GTO and the Bye-Focal. The polls for this round will be open until the end of the day on May 16th. Be sure to get your vote in and be part of shaping RLC history!

Tom Zahorsky, Senior Design Manager for the Johnny Lightning brand shows off their new 1958 Plymouth Belvedere casting. Listed as casting 930, this piece features a very nice Metallic Coral over Jet Black finish that really pops. That was a rare factory option called the Sport Tone package on the original car, meaning that it had a matching roof and side trim. JL’s Belvedere will sport BI-1 disk wheels and a matching Coral interior. Look for this piece to appear in August as part of Mopar or No Car Release 12.

Poster cadman on JOESDIECASTSHACK.COM shared this unique display for 1/24th scale cars. This nicely crafted unit is know as the “Triflection Display Case” and it allows you to see all four sides of the vehicle at once through the use of three mirrors.

The case itself measures 5 in. deep, 18 in. wide and 5 ½ in. high and will fit both 1/24th and 1/25th scale cars. The base is native Oregon hardwood, precision machined and beautifully stained and finished. Polymer feet on the bottom protect against scratches.

It is available for purchase from WWW.LEGACYDIECAST.COM for $69.95 plus $10 shipping (per unit) in secure package. While its finely crafted and the concept is unique, the piece you select to display in it better be a prized possession for that kind of price!
