For those of you who happen to be fans of both Jada Toys and Drag Racing, the John Force Racestation is now offering the Jada DIVCO Skool Bus in 1:24th scale. What makes this 1:24th scale version special is that is bears John’s autograph!

Last season, Chip Foose designed a custom school bus for John and the Racestation though that these autographed pieces would be a nice tie-in. This is not a special run done by Jada, but is simply a standard DIVCO Skool Bus sporting the John Force signature. Only 100 pieces were signed and they are available now for $79.95 each.

Fred Bloods from 1 Stop Diecast has provided teaser information about Mattel’s upcoming “Since ‘68″ line that will be released later this year. The first release will include the following castings:

1970 Plymouth Superbird
1966 Volkswagen Beetle
1970 Dodge Challenger
Volkswagen Truck

Only the small thumbnail (shown) of what appears to be a mock-up of the packaging is available - but it does seem to resemble the classic black box packaging that 100% collectors know and love. This first release is currently available for pre-order at WWW.1STOPDIECAST.COM.

This week Airland brings a plethora of Classics news and rumors, plus some quick tidbits on Sizzlers, Superman 2-packs and the next K-Days event - all in the Ironbox Newswire! Here’s what he had to say:

“A new rumor floating around is that some mad scientist at Mattel has taken it upon himself to create a true spectraflame black color for the Classics and Redline Club cars. While trying all kinds of combinations of colors to achieve this goal… Another new color was created. The new color will be called spectraflame Smoke Gray….. Not only that, but he was successful in creating a True Spectraflame Black color……. The new Bad Bagger Bike created by Larry Wood has made its first appearance in the Classics Series and it is excellent… If you haven’t seen it up close yet, An interesting detail is that this bike has a ribbed seat which sets it apart from all the other bike castings….. The Challenger Funny car has finally been released in the Classics line and it is spectraflame Bright Purple… to be followed by Blue and then Green.

There will be a Classics Series 4 in 2008… This 4th series has been rumored to only have 15 castings in it…… Theres some truth to that rumor but its only half the story, there will be another 15 castings used in spectraflame colors….. and of this 15…… at least 10 will be brand new castings. The classics Nova will be released in spectraflame pink or magenta and a Black Double Demon is coming soon. There will be a lot of spectraflame red castings coming in the next mix including a red GTO, GMC Motorhome, 69 Corvette and 57 Chevy…. We should start seeing Superman 2 packs soon…… There are more Sizzler sets coming to Target soon including a jump intersection…….. The next K-Day may have more than 3 special cars in the mixes.”

Its been a while since we’ve highlighted one of the fantastic image floods from forum poster Reekman, so a new mention is definitely due! However, this time he brings us a sneak peek of the upcoming 1:24th Scale Limited Edition 2006 Chevy Camaro Concept from Jada Toys!

This time Jada stuns us with a Chromed out Camaro with American flag flames. Each Camaro in this limited 5000 piece run will be individually numbered and will come packaged in a hard acrylic case. Pricing is still unknown, but obtaining one could be difficult regardless - only 3600 pieces out of the full 5000 will be available in the US. Expect this to hit sometime in June!
