To the delight of Hot Wheels collectors across the globe, the one and only Airland was able to bring his much loved “Ironbox Newswire” segment back to life this past weekend! A little over a month ago, Air announced that his popular news postings on HOTWHEELSCOLLECTORS.COM would be stopping as the sources that had been providing him with the tasty bits of “insider” Hot Wheels news had dried up. What followed was a dizzying array of reply posts from fellow collectors expressing their unhappiness of the hearing that the column would be ending.

On April 22nd, Airland resurrected the Ironbox Newswire with a series of delectable morsels for collectors to chew on. The highlights of his report include:

• Next year’s 40th Anniversary will be known as the year of the Alternate Reality
• There will be a 40th Anniversary Series featuring a casting from each year
• There will be a Ferrari 60th Anniversary carded series available this year consisting of 12 Ferrari Castings found in multiple colors
• A new Ferrari 5 pack available soon in special red packaging as well as the normal blue
• Rumors of a new 67 Pontiac GTO convertible casting persist
• A new casting called The SS Express will show up this year somewhere
• The Batmobile has not been released with 5 hole wheels
• Super Chromes may be honored in a special way by years end
• Adult Collectibles are still a go with info coming soon
